Titles
  • Heir to the Dreadfort

Trueborn son and only heir of Lord Roose Bolton by his first wife Bethany of House Ryswell, raised at the Rills with his mother's kin and fostered at the Redfort in the Vale. A quiet, well-mannered boy who loved horses and the high harp, by his father's account the only son worth keeping. Returned north at eighteen, having heard the rumour that he had a half-brother on the Weeping Water, and rode out alone to meet him.

Died within the week of what the maesters called a bad belly. Lord Roose let the cause stand as written and never spoke his son's name in the same breath as his bastard's, though he is known to have remarked, on a winter road, that he ought to have hanged the boy in his cradle.
